Geeta Nargund
Medical Director
Geeta Nargund is Head of Reproductive Medicine at St George's Hospital and the
Medical Director of the Centre of Reproduction and Advanced Technology
(CREATE).
She is the Founder and the Chief Executive of the Health Education Research
Trust (HER Trust, Women's Health Foundation) UK National Charity and the
President of ISMAAR (International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted
Reproduction).
She has been appointed as the chairperson of the special task force on Mild IVF
by ESHERE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology).
She has published extensively on the role of advanced ultrasound technology in
reproductive medicine. She is the chief author of the first scientific paper on
cumulative live birth rates of natural (unstimulated) cycle IVF and on one-stop
fertility diagnosis using ultrasound technology. She pioneered the role of
follicular blood flow in the assessment of egg quality using advanced
ultrasound technology.
Her research interests include minimal approaches in assisted reproduction and
advanced ultrasound technology.
Geeta was awarded a Gold Medal and Visiting Professorship in September 2007 by
the University of St Marco, Lima in Peru (the oldest University in Latin
America) for her contribution in the field of infertility.
Professor Stuart Campbell
Consultant & Director of Ultrasound
Stuart Campbell studied Medicine at Glasgow University and trained in Ob/Gyn
under Professor Ian Donald, the pioneer of diagnostic ultrasound. He moved to
London where he developed the standard techniques of

fetal biometry and pioneered early prenatal diagnosis of fetal abnormalities by
ultrasound. He was the first to point out the importance of routine scanning in
pregnancy. He was made Professor and Head of the Department of Ob/Gyn at King’s College, London where he built up one of the world’s leading centres of Fetal Medicine. He carried out research into the fetal
circulatory response to hypoxaemia and pioneered screening for pre-eclampsia by
uterine artery Doppler. He also introduced screening for ovarian cancer by
ultrasound. His present interest is 3D/4D ultrasound in Ob/Gyn. He has written
over 400 peer reviewed publications. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of
Science by London University in 1998. He was the first President of ISUOG and
was the founding Editor of the journal ‘Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology’. His current publications are about 3D/4D Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Vinod Nargund
Consultant Andrologist
Vinod Nargund was trained in Urology Units at City Hospital Belfast, Royal
Infirmary Bradford and Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospitals, Oxford. He is
specialised in urological cancers, testicular diseases and andrology. He was
trained in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at Erasme University Hospital,
Brussels and Oscar Lambret Cancer Centre at Lille, France. He spent sabbatical
at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York for advancement of GU Cancer
training. He is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate
medical teaching. His research interests include early diagnosis of
genito-urinary cancer, angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis and minimally
invasive management of GU cancers and male infertility.

Freda Cuffe
Lead Nurse & Patient Support Group Co-ordinator
Freda qualified as a general nurse in 1997, she has worked in women’s health since then and has been working within the fertility field since 1999.
She trained at Kings College Hospital and has extensive experience in ultrasound
scanning and IVF procedures. She has worked in both private and NHS funded
units. Clinically she is one of the few nurses in the country who performs
oocyte collections.
She will be co-ordinating the new patient support group for Create health
Clinic.
Fatima Figueiredo
Lead Embryologist
Fatima began her career carrying out research in vitrification and in vitro maturation of oocytes. She later moved into the clinical field working at
Monash IVF in Australia and later moving to London. She has completed her ACE
Certificate, is registered with the Health Professionals Council and holds an
ICSI licence. She has a keen interest in in vitro maturation and its potential in mild IVF.
Manjeet Hunjan
Senior Embryologist
Manjeet has a masters degree in assisted conception and a certificate and
registration with the Health Professions Council. She has extensive experience
in IVF and ICSI procedures and also has a keen interest in reflexology.
Irfana Koita-Kazi
Specialist in Reproductive Medicine
Irfana is a gynaecologist who is trained in fertility and IVF at King's College
Hospital for two years. She is a very experienced specialist in IVF and
reproductive medicine.
