Mrs Geeta Nargund
Geeta Nargund is Head of Reproductive Medicine at St George's Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. She is also the Medical Director of the Centre of Reproduction and Advanced Technology, London, UK.
She is the Founder and the Chief Executive of the Health Education Research Trust (HER Trust, Women's Health Foundation) UK National Charity and the President of ISMAAR (International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted Reproduction).
She has published extensively on the role of advanced ultrasound technology in reproductive medicine. She is the chief author of the first scientific paper on cumulative live birth rates of natural (unstimulated) cycle IVF and on one-stop fertility diagnosis using ultrasound technology. She pioneered the role of follicular blood flow in the assessment of egg quality using advanced ultrasound technology.
Her research interests include minimal approaches in assisted reproduction and advanced ultrasound technology.
Geeta was awarded a Gold Medal and Visiting Professorship in September 2007 by the University of St Marco, Lima in Peru (the oldest University in Latin America) for her contribution in the field of infertility.
